Lab Description:

“If you are in Section 1, you cannot enter the Section 2, 3 or 4 classes or vice versa.”

This course will introduce you how to use the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The SPSS stands for Statistical Package for Social Sciences. It has been used by psychologists to analyze data. Therefore; a psychologist needs to know how to use SPSS in order to do a research. Throughout the lectures, we will discuss the topics (such as, basic research designs and variables) related to statistics. This course aims to teach you how to enter your data in SPSS, make the appropriate statistical analysis and interpret the output.
 

General Notes:

• Attendance in lab is required. Attendance to 70% of class hours and 80% of the lab hours are necessary to enter the final exam. If you do not meet attendance requirement, you will not pass the course and cannot enter final and resit examination.

• You are responsible from all lab practices and notes for the exams.

• Please silence all watch alarms and cell phones when in class.

• During the lectures, limit the use of computers for SPSS and note-taking.

Very Important Note: All assignments must be done ON YOUR OWN. Note
that academic dishonesty includes not only cheating, fabrication, and
plagiarism, but also includes helping other students commit acts of academic dishonesty by allowing them to obtain copies of your work. Cases of academic dishonesty will be dealt with harshly. If the student is found to be responsible of academic dishonesty, the typical sanction results in a grade of “FF”. More serious instances can result in expulsion from the university.
